How it works

Four steps for the host. One for everyone else.

  1. 1

    The host opens an event

A name. The number of frames each guest gets. The rate they arrive at, which is per evening, per day or per hour. The hour the roll develops. That is the whole setup.

  2. 2

    Guests join with a code

A QR code on the table or a link in a message. Type a name and you are on the roll. No account, no install, no app store.

  3. 3

    Everyone shoots onto one roll

The counter goes down with each frame. There is no preview, no retake and no delete. A frame shot with no signal waits on the phone and uploads when the signal comes back.

  4. 4

    The roll stays sealed

Until develop time nobody can read a frame. Not the guests, not the host. The check runs on the server, so a browser told to ask twice gets the same answer.

  5. 5

    It develops at once

At the hour the host set, the whole roll opens. Frames arrive in shooting order, so a group watching together sees the night fill in. Each frame carries the name of whoever shot it, unless the host switches attribution off.

Longer than one night

An event can hold more than one roll. A week away is 7 rolls: one a day, 7 develop times, 7 mornings instead of 1.

Each roll has its own frame allowance, so 6 frames a day is 6 frames a day, and today running out does not borrow from tomorrow.

What it does not do

  • No filters and no editing.
  • No deleting a frame you regret.
  • No live feed, and no count of who liked what.
  • No personal album. There is one roll and it belongs to the event.
